The mission of ERS is to be the guardian of the retirement systems it administers for the ultimate benefit of the members, retirees and beneficiaries of those systems. This mission is accomplished through ERS’ core responsibilities which include pension administration; the collection, reconciliation and disbursement of contributions for the welfare of the members, retirees and beneficiaries of the plans; and the sound and secure investment of the retirement funds. In order to accomplish its mission, ERS receives leadership and support from the Boards of Trustees of each of the retirement systems. Many thanks are extended to the offices of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, members of the House and Senate Retirement Committees and their staffs, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, and the department officials whose support and assistance have helped ERS accomplish its mission over the years. With continuing dedication and support from all of these aforementioned people and our staff, we represent to our members, retirees, beneficiaries and the general public, the continuing efforts of ERS to properly administer the responsibilities of the retirement systems. Access the Employees’ Retirement System of Georgia (ERSGA) website for detailed information regarding the ERS plan options. |
