What is Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)?
AYP is one of the cornerstones of the federal No
Child Left Behind Act of 2001. It is a measure of year-to-year student
achievement on statewide assessments.
The data used to produce the AYP charts and graphs is being recalculated to reflect the results of the Governor's investigative Report on the CRCT testing.
NCLB requires all states, including the State of Georgia, to establish state academic
standards and a state testing system that meet federal requirements.
